3 Steps : Create Your Own Cacao Ceremony At Home

STEP ONE - CREATING A SACRED SPACE

To create a sacred space for your ceremonial cacao practice, find a quiet environment free from distractions. Clear the area, set a peaceful ambiance with dim lighting or candles, and consider incorporating meaningful objects or symbols.

Take a moment to center yourself and set your intentions before beginning your ceremony.

STEP TWO - PREPARE YOUR CEREMONIAL CACAO

Take your cacao, broken into small chunks or shaved off the block:

Use 1 tablespoon (10-15g) for a small daily dose or a nightcap.
Opt for 2 tablespoons (25-30g) for a boost of focus and creativity.
Choose 3 tablespoons (45g+) for a ceremonial dose.

Heat 150 ml of water to about 70 degrees Celsius(158 degrees Fahrenheit).
Prepare 40 ml of (plant) milk.
Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of sweetener (honey, coconut sugar).
Optionally, include spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, sea salt, cayenne pepper, ginger, or nutmeg to taste.

STEP THREE - CONNECT, RECEIVE & REFLECT

Begin by taking a moment to breathe deeply, closing your eyes to foster a connection with the present moment. As you exhale, release any tension, allowing yourself to fully embrace the ceremony ahead.

Slowly sip the ceremonial cacao, savoring each moment of awareness as you taste and feel its gentle stimulation within your body. Remain receptive and open, welcoming whatever thoughts or sensations arise.

Afterward, take time for reflection, journaling any insights or revelations that surfaced during your journey. This reflective practice allows you to honor and integrate the wisdom gained from the sacred experience.
